As the assignment was to create three tryptics, I had several photos I liked that didn't make the "final cut," as well as several that didn't explicitly fit within the constraints of the assignment. Here they are.
This is the second tryptic in the exposure project.
The goal of this set of photos was to capture motion through the blurring of either the subject or the background. This can be achieved by lengthening the shutter speed and lowering the ios (for the same reasons as the light tryptic photos). The two are essentially the same (because I chose to blur my subject). This is the final tryptic in my exposure series.
The object was to catch motion or movement with no blur and very sharp lines. This is achieved by shortening the shutter speed as much as possible (so the camera only captures a fraction of a second) and greatly increasing both the light source and the iso, as minimal light is let in by the camera because it's only open for such a short time. This is one of three tryptics I've made for our project on exposure.
This assignment was to capture the motion of light, which can be done by lengthening the shutter speed and lowering the ios (the camera will be open much longer, letting more light in). These three photos were made by swinging a strand of multicolored Christmas lights with the camera on a tripod. |
